Divorce Records
These are records of divorce cases filed within the county’s jurisdiction, usually the family court division. Divorce records are not limited to the divorce certificate alone, they include all the hearings during a divorce case. Divorce certificates can be obtained from the state Office of Vital Statistics link while the entire divorce case and ruling can be obtained from the court in which it was heard.
Marriage Records
Marriage records are the records of all marriages recognized by law in Marshall county and conducted by authorized persons, per Kentucky marriage laws. Marriage records originate from the state’s court system and are therefore considered public information. However, only informational records can be issued to the general public like the names of spouses, date, and location of marriage can be provided by the Department of Health.
