The Kentucky State Police (KSP) publishes the annual reports of crime statistics of counties and cities in the state. In 2018, it was reported that Hopkins County had a total number of 1,369 crimes, including 637 violent crimes and 732 property crimes. Violent crimes reported include 2 murders, 44 rapes, 15 robberies, and 576 aggravated assaults. Property crimes reported include 205 burglaries, 416 larcenies, 99 motor vehicle thefts, and 12 arsons.

These figures show a slight increase in reported crime rates in Hopkins County over a 5-year period. Between 2014 and 2018, Hopkins County had an increase in 4 out of 8 major crimes. Robbery, aggravated assault, motor vehicle theft, and arson rates increased by150%, 36%, 38%, and 9% respectively. Murder, rape, burglary, and larceny rates in the county increased by 67%, 17%, 28%, and 25%.

How Do I Get Hopkins County Criminal Records?

The AOC provides two online portals through which criminal background checks can be done. They are AOCFastCheck and One-Time Request.
